Wolseley UK acquires London-based electrical wholesale business
Wolseley UK has acquired T&R Electrical Wholesaling as part of the expansion and development of Electric Center, the UK’s fastest-growing electrical distribution business.
Three of T&R’s four branches - East Molesey, Hillingdon and Chertsey – are within the M25, and the fourth, Aldershot, just outside. This will strengthen Electric Center’s presence considerably in the London area, and provide additional service and geographic coverage for customers.
The business, which was acquired on 24 August, will continue to trade as normal in its existing form. However, T&R will, in due course, be re-branded and integrated into Electric Center. Further details will be announced in advance of those changes.
Phil Berry, Electric Center’s regional trading director for the London, South and South East region, will assume responsibility for the four branches. He said: “T&R is a well-established business, which boasts a similar product range to Electric Center and represents an ideal fit within our growing branch network. Electric Center is very much looking forward to working with T&R Electrical Wholesaling to further develop the business, and we see this acquisition as a key part of our continuing branch expansion programme.”
