Waste Product
Recycling is nothing new, but with the advent of the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive the focus on the reduction, responsible disposal and reprocessing of waste is even greater. To help
our customers tackle the sometimes confusing issues surrounding recycling Electric Center has teamed up with the UK’s leading Compliance Schemes to provide a service for the disposal of waste lamps and lighting fixtures - two of the product areas most affected by the WEEE legislation.
Packaging
Electric Center is also working very hard with all of its supplier partners to ensure the reduction of packaging materials entering the supply chain.
We are working with our suppliers to introduce innovative varieties of product packaging such as biodegradable plastics and even packaging that dissolves! This is an ongoing challenge, but one that Electric Center is fully committed to.
Electric Center works closely with the Compliance Scheme to ensure that we all act to meet the requirements of the WEEE Directive and make sure that the majority of our branch locations offer their custom- ers a waste disposal facility for lamps and lighting fixtures.
Publications
To demonstrate Electric Center’s ‘green credentials’, we are proud to state that this catalogue is produced by an ISO14001 (environmental quality management standard) company.
